Shaina Goldberg

Director of Volunteer Services

Shaina Goldberg, Director of Volunteer Services for Metropolitan Council on Jewish Poverty, is passionate about educating the New York City community about poverty through meaningful service opportunities. At Met Council, Shaina oversees a number of programs helping people ranging from seniors to victims of family violence. Met Council engages over 1,200 volunteers each year in both individual and group settings. In her previous role as Jewish Service Learning Coordinator for The Partnership for Jewish Learning and Life in New Jersey, Shaina connected youth to volunteering opportunities while incorporating service learning material, coordinated a teen philanthropy foundation, and oversaw large scale volunteering opportunity fairs. Shaina received her Masters of Social Work with a certificate in Aging and Geriatric Services from Rutgers University.
